Demi Moore is an American actress who made a name for herself after a range of teen oriented movies which were screened in the mid eighties.
She had a hectic and chaotic childhood. Her biological father Charles Harmon left her mother Virginia king after a two month marriage a short time before young Demi was born. Though she struggled through her childhood she did all that she had to get herself noticed. As a child she was cross eyed and wore an eye patch most of the time to correct the condition. However it did not help and it was only after a series of two surgeries did she finally overcome the problem.
Ashton Kutcher to whom Demi Moore is married is also an American actor and is well known for his role of Michael Kelso in the sitcom That 70’s show.
He was born in Cedar Rapids Iowa and is part Irish owing to his mother. He has a sister tausha and a fraternal twin Michael who underwent a heart transplant when he was young. As a student Ashton attended Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and thereafter clear creek Armana high school. As a student he was part of the football team and also took part in school plays. As a child he was very unstable and contemplated on committing suicide. At the age of 13, he almost succeeded when he attempted to jump from the hospital balcony, however his father intervened and tragedy was averted.
Kutcher and Moore began dating and were subject to media gossip that was directed at the age difference between the two of them. However this did not deter them and they were married on the 24th of September, 2005 in a ceremony conducted by a Jewish rabbi, about 100 close friends were invited including the family of Bruce Willis, Moore’s ex- husband. Although Moore legally changed her name to Kutcher two years after being married to husband Ashton Kutcher, she will use her previous name Moore in her forthcoming professional and acting career.
Demi and kUtcher are followers of the Kabbah centre, an organization that say that it preaches Kabbah a form of Judaism. It was Moore who initiated Kutcher to join the kabbalah faith and as they joined this community they have embarked on a tour of the holy land (Israel) and they take time off from their schedule to observe the traditional Jewish holy days.
In the initial days there was a lot of speculation regarding the reason of their being together. Some said Ashton was trying to get popular and others commented that Demi was just latching on to a younger man. However, the happily married couple proved critics wrong by staying together in a successful marriage till date. The age difference doesn’t seem an issue for them as they have worked things out and make a great couple together. One may always argue their age difference but at the end of the day they are happy and that’s what comes across as a breath of fresh air with so many couples having gone their separate ways in recent years.
